Our 21st Century Learning Team recently hosted its first joint Family Makerspace Nights at Mark Twain Elementary and Lucille J. Smith Elementary, open to families district-wide. Families enjoyed a fun, hands-on evening exploring Makerspace activities like Lego BricQ, Dash Robots, Makey Makey, Coding, and more!
On April 17, our highly anticipated First LEGO League Challenge took place, showcasing the hard work and creativity of students from Ms. Peracha’s class at Will Rogers Middle School and Mr. Bedor’s class at Jane Addams Middle School. After months of preparation, the students finally had the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a friendly yet competitive environment.
