COVID-19 Testing Employee Updates

Employees on leave must provide a Covid-19 test result or vaccine record upon return. In addition, submit to the weekly scheduled testing on site if unvaccinated.

About LESD
Located in the Heart of the South Bay, the Lawndale Elementary School District (LESD) serves students from preschool through grade eight. There are eight schools in the District: six elementary schools serve Kindergarten through grade six (William Anderson, William Green, Billy Mitchell, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lucille J. Smith, and Mark Twain) and two middle schools serve grades six through eight (Jane Addams Middle School and Will Rogers Middle School). The district also has a before and after school program (RAP - Realizing Amazing Potential), a Preschool program, a TK program, a Spanish dual-language immersion program, and is the administrative unit for the Southwest Special Education Local Plan Area (SW SELPA).

Current Lawndale Elementary School District Employees (this excludes substitutes) should submit a completed Reassignment Request Form (PDF), including any position prerequisites, to the District Receptionist on or before the closing date and time of this posting. All other applicants should follow the instructions indicated on the edjoin posting.  

Interested in Substitute Teaching? 
If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Teacher, you can apply on Edjoin when a posting is available. Information for obtaining a substitute teaching permit can be found on the CTC website (PDF). LESD pays $140 per day for daily assignments and $155/day for long-term assignments.
