Thank you for your continued support!
Get Involved
The Foundation is a volunteer-led organization. There are many ways you can support our worthy cause - to enhance student learning. All support is appreciated.
The Lawndale Educational Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is tax-deductible. Your support makes a notable difference in the education of Lawndale students.
Throughout the years, your generous donations have allowed us to fund initiatives that cultivate meaningful learning experiences for Lawndale students. We invite you to partner with LESDEF help support excellence and innovation in our local elementary and middle schools.
Paving the Way
LESDEF has awarded nearly $400,000 in educational grants over the past twenty years. Our generous donors have enabled us to enrich learning for students of the Lawndale Elementary School District. Our grants have introduced new technology to Lawndale students, brought unique experiences, and supported curriculum development. Grants that we have funded emphasize Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) learning, heightening the academic excellence of the students in our community.
Our Students
LESD proudly boasts a diverse student population with approximately 89% of students arriving at school with exposure to another language in the home. The most common home languages include: Spanish, Vietnamese, and Arabic. In addition, 82% of our students qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Meal Program making all of our schools Title I.
