Empowering Parents, Strengthening Students

Family University is Lawndale Elementary School District’s commitment to partnering with families for student success. We offer a variety of workshops, training sessions, and resources designed to help parents and caregivers build skills, stay informed, and become active partners in their child’s learning journey.

From practical tools for supporting academics at home to information about health, wellness, and community services, Family University equips families with the knowledge and confidence to help every student thrive.

Through Family University, families can:

1. Learn: Access a series of educational opportunities to better understand your child’s education and how to support their learning at home.

2. Participate: Take part in parent committees where you can share your input and help shape the direction of the district.

3. Lead & Mentor: Serve in leadership and mentorship roles on parent committees, providing valuable insight about the parent experience and helping guide district decisions.
