School Device IT Support

A Chromebook is a portable, cloud based computer. Some students will get a Chromebook  checked out to them this year in early September. They will bring this device home each night and return back to school with it again each day. Teachers will incorporate the use of web 2.0 tools, apps, and other specialized software into their lesson plans in order to allow students to create, collaborate, communicate and apply critical thinking skills. In addition to learning the required grade level content, students will gain and use 21st century skills which will help prepare them for college and help them be successful in their future careers.

Chromebooks are web based devices that can be used like a traditional laptop and integrate seamlessly with the Google Education Suite (Drive, Classroom, Docs, Sheets, etc.). 

Wi-Fi will be available at school and at locations around the city that offer it for free. 

Low cost Internet is also available through some local providers. If you get your internet via your cellular phone, it may also possible to setup a Wi-Fi hotspot (please see your cellular provider for details).

Please contact your child's teacher or contact the school.

Devices will be repaired to the extent possible one time. If device is broken a second time, it will not be repaired and the student will lose access to a take home device.
