Student Acceptable Use of Technology

Students will use various online educational resources and services to support student learning. LESD verifies that the resources/services we use have been vetted by district staff and deemed appropriate for use with students. In addition, these resources/services comply with COPPA and FERPA.
In accordance with COPPA, a teacher may act as the agent of the parent or legal guardian of a student and provide consent on behalf of the parent to use vetted online educational services for instructional use.
As required under COPPA, parents can make confident choices regarding online educational services. Parents should submit the request to opt out of any of these services in writing to LESD.
