Pop Up Farm Stands

The Wellness Program and RAP students from Anderson, Mitchell & Smith hosted two Pop Up Farm Stands at Billy Mitchell & William Anderson Elementary schools over the summer. Wellness Program staff harvested fruits & veggies from our LESD school gardens and RAP students helped offer them to other students, parents & the community.
The produce was free to all, and donations were accepted. In the end, the community donated $162 to help pay for garden supplies in the new school year. Thanks to everyone for their generosity! And, a special thank you to all the RAP students who helped promote eating fruits & veggies!

Special thanks to students Roman Gabriel, Jr. from El Camino College & Andrew Garcia from LA Harbor College for coming out to lend a hand at the Billy Mitchell World of Plants garden this summer. Thank you for helping us ready the garden for the new school year!
